Some of East Atlanta’s murals are easily visible from the street, but an equal number of murals are tucked away in back parking lots, in alleyways and behind buildings. Laid-back East Atlanta, often called East Atlanta Village, is a bohemian neighborhood filled with street art. Hip, young locals frequent the yoga studios, indie shops, dive bars and restaurants on buzzing Flat Shoals Road. Nightlife venues include The EARL, which hosts both local and national music acts. Nearby, Brownwood Park has trails, wooded areas, and sports facilities including tennis courts.
