With its foundation firmly rooted in the past, Atlantic Station looks to the future and delivers in the moment. Located on former site of the Atlanta Steel Mill which opened in 1901, Atlantic Station opened in 2005 after a decade of planning. It is spread across 138 acres of what was a brownfield site. There are three distinct areas along 17th Street: The District, The Commons, and the Village. There’s lots of retail, condos, apartments, homes and townhomes designed with energy efficiency in mind — and many of the buildings are LEED certified.
