There are City of Atlanta skyline views from parts of this neighborhood named for the six-acre park near the center of it. It’s also a pilot site for “edible” neighborhoods, where residents plant food in their front yards and along sidewalks for neighbors to pick when it’s ready. This hilly, BeltLine neighborhood is composed of Craftsman-style bungalows were built in early 1900s. It was established in 1902 as workforce housing for the United States Penitentiary and General Motors. It has grown into a place where residents put down roots and connect.
