This bungalow suburb was developed between the 1890s and 1940s, as Atlanta was transitioning from a railroad town to an urban area. The area’s character was built with bungalows displaying incredible craftsman detailing. Plenty of other styles are incorporated throughout the area, including Folk Victorian, Queen Anne and English Vernacular Revival. It’s an Historic District neighborhood in the BeltLine. Its landmark buildings and wide streets cradle three parks: Adair I, Adair II and Bonnie Brae.
